Dina Cavallo, Rutgers Lacrosse, Wake Forest Whippets Director & Coach, Carolina Heat Lacrosse President

 

Coach Dina grew up in New Jersey and began playing lacrosse in 9th grade. She graduated from The Lawrenceville School, where she played on the state championship team of 1994 and then went on to play Division I lacrosse for Rutgers University 1995-1998. Dina was a 3x IWLCA Regional All American, with 139 career points and still holds the record for 4th highest in single season goals. She was also a 2x Captain and MVP her senior year.

 

Dina began coaching over 20 years ago as an assistant coach for Rutgers in 1999, and has coached rec and club lacrosse for the past 8 years in the Triangle area. She is a coach and the Director of the Wake Forest Whippets for Rival Lacrosse. Dina still plays lacrosse regularly and heads up the Carolina Heat Lacrosse team which is the local post collegiate women’s team. You can find the Carolina Heat playing the local college club teams including Duke, UNC, NC State and Elon.

 

Coach Dina is passionate about growing the game of lacrosse in North Carolina and helping youth girls learn the game and young women realize their potential to play the game at the collegiate level.
