Coach Sopko has recently moved to North Carolina where he is currently the head lacrosse coach at Green Level High School.

According to HighSchoolOT.com's Nick Steven's:

"A native of Shoreham, N.Y., which is on Long Island, Sopko has playing and coaching experience in boys lacrosse. Most recently, he was the offensive coordinator at Averett University for two years while receiving his master's degree in education.

Prior to his time at Averett, Sopko was an assistant coach at Mattituck High School in New York. At Mattituck, Sopko was responsible for the offense and also coached the goalies. While at Mattituck, his teams appeared in back-to-back county title games and he coached several all-county players, including two player of the year candidates for Class C.

Sopko played college lacrosse at Springfield College in Massachusetts for one year before transferring to Dowling College in New York for his final three years. While at Dowling, he scored the overtime goal in the Division II semifinals en route to his team winning the national title."
